The grey tank is what stops you here, not the fresh water. Past this point carrying more fresh water buys nothing until there is somewhere to put the waste.
On board as standardHow these figures are worked out. Fresh water at about 12 litres per person a day with a quick shower each, of which roughly 72 per cent reaches the grey tank. Power at 0.75 kWh a day for the fridge, lights, pumps and charging, against solar rated at 68 per cent of its panel figure to allow for a flat roof, controller losses and heat. Usable battery at 90 per cent of the nameplate capacity. Change any setting above and the arithmetic follows it.
These are planning estimates for the standard build of this layout, before options and accessories. They are not measured figures and they are not a performance guarantee. Real duration varies with the weather, how the van is used, how full the tanks are when you leave and how you like to travel.
Water is payload. A full fresh tank is 220kg you cannot also spend on gear, and payload is a legal limit set by your caravan's compliance plate rather than a target. The weights for this layout are in the build sheet below. Never exceed the ATM, GTM or tow ball limit shown on the compliance plate, and check your loaded weights at a licensed public weighbridge before you tow.
Running the air conditioner overnight is not achievable on battery alone on any build in this range. It needs mains power or a generator, and the worksheet above shows what it costs you.
