JB Caravans Pty Ltd, the manufacturer of Network RV caravans, warrants every new Network RV caravan against defects in materials and workmanship under the terms set out below. The term and the cover are the same on Touring Terrain and Terrain Tuff. This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where your ACL rights are stronger, they prevail.
Your ACL rights are separate and cannot be removed. This factory warranty exists alongside your automatic consumer guarantee rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this document limits those rights. See our Consumer rights page for full details.
What is covered, and for how long
5yrs
Structural warranty
Chassis frame, wall and roof frame, and furniture carcass. Original purchaser only.
3yrs
Manufacturer's warranty
Manufacture and assembly defects: general plumbing, electrical wiring, furniture, exterior cladding and chassis.
+2yrs
Sealant extension
At 36 months, a sealant service at an authorised service centre extends sealant cover for a further 24 months.
5-year structural warranty, covered items only
The structural warranty covers faults in the construction of the caravan. Covered items are strictly limited to the chassis frame, the wall and roof frame, and the furniture carcass. It does not cover faults with individual components, including upholstery, handles, locks, hinges, struts, glass, windows, doors, ply, flooring, or other fixtures and fittings.
3-year manufacturer's warranty, covered items
For three years from the handover date, defects in workmanship or materials relating to manufacture and assembly will be repaired or replaced at no charge to the original purchaser. Covered items are general plumbing, general electrical wiring, furniture, exterior cladding and the chassis. The same items are covered on both ranges; the wall system, suspension, coupling, wheels and tyres, water capacity and exterior hardware differ between Touring Terrain and Terrain Tuff, and each is covered on the range it is fitted to.
This warranty does not cover appliances, barbecues, awnings or accessories not manufactured by JB Caravans Pty Ltd. See section 04 for the component warranties provided by their manufacturers.
Who this warranty applies to
This warranty is provided to the original purchaser only. It is not automatically transferable. A warranty transfer requires:
Inspection and assessment by an authorised Network RV dealer only.
The caravan must pass inspection. JB Caravans Pty Ltd reserves the right to decline the transfer if it does not.
A first inspection of the van to record pre-existing conditions and any repairs required.
A confirmation email with a Registration Certificate showing the date of purchase and the claims process.
Transfer pricing is confirmed by contacting your local Network RV dealer.
Where a transfer is approved, the new owner is entitled to the remaining warranty period only. This warranty is void if the caravan has been leased, hired, loaned or used for commercial purposes.
7-day handover quality window
Any quality issues identified at handover must be reported to your dealer within 7 days. Check the caravan thoroughly at handover and sign the Handover Checklist to confirm each area is approved, noting any exceptions. Quality issues reported after 7 days from handover may not be covered under this warranty. This 7-day window applies to the factory warranty only and does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply regardless of when a fault becomes apparent.
Registration Certificate, 14-day requirement
To avoid delays to any future claim, the details on your Warranty Registration Certificate must be completed and returned within 14 days of purchase. For every new Network RV, your dealer enters your details electronically at handover and gives you paperwork confirming your purchase date and the claims procedure, so there is nothing for you to fill in. Late registration will never on its own be a reason to decline a claim.
Service requirements: maintaining your warranty
To maintain this warranty you must follow the service schedule below. Services may be carried out by your selling dealer, an authorised Network RV service agent, or another qualified service centre working to JB Caravans Pty Ltd's published service standards. To book a service or find an agent, use the Book a service form or call us.
Failure to maintain the caravan to this schedule may affect the factory warranty where the lack of servicing caused or contributed to the defect. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Service | Interval, whichever comes first | Key notes |
|---|---|---|
First | 1,000 km or 3 months from handover | Full safety and alignment check, bearings, brakes, sealant inspection |
Second | 10,000 km or 12 months, whether or not stored | Full service schedule, gas pressure test, electrical check |
Third | 20,000 km or 24 months | Full service schedule and sealant review |
Fourth | 30,000 km or 36 months | Full inspection and reseal, required to activate the 2-year sealant extension |
Fifth | 40,000 km or 48 months | Full service schedule |
Service intervals must not exceed 12 months from the date of purchase or delivery, regardless of distance travelled or storage. The cost of servicing, including consumables, is the purchaser's responsibility and is paid directly to the service agent.
What each service includes
Check and adjust alignment of all doors, windows and the step.
Visual inspection for water leaks; inspect and replace sealant where required.
Clean, check and repack wheel bearings; check brake assemblies, adjust brake shoes and park brake.
Check wheel alignment, tension wheel nuts, check tyre pressure, wear and alignment.
Check and tighten all suspension and pivot points; undercarriage inspection and report.
Ensure electrical wiring is secure and correctly routed; ensure gas and plumbing lines are secured and pressure test the gas system.
Check battery terminals, all lights, awning operation and appliance operation.
Lubricate stabilisers, coupling, locks and hinges; clean vents; check and adjust cupboard locks and catches.
Tightening and adjusting of doors, suspension and wheel nuts is included in the first and yearly services. It is not covered as an on-demand fix between scheduled services. Non-Network RV service centres must perform yearly services to JB Caravans Pty Ltd's service standards.
Ongoing owner maintenance obligations
Check and maintain adequate tyre pressure at all times.
Grease and tighten components as required; clean filters in the air conditioner and water pump.
Maintain, paint and rust-proof painted and exposed surfaces.
Check fluid levels: gas, grey and black water tanks.
Check the fire extinguisher charge at least annually; smoke alarm and carbon monoxide alarm batteries every 3 months, replaced at least annually.
Wash the van regularly with pH-neutral car detergent and clean (not recycled) water; rinse thoroughly and dry with a microfibre cloth.
Keep the van under shelter or under a caravan cover during extended storage; lubricate hardware with silicone spray, not grease.
Caravan care: cleaning that affects warranty
Truck wash is not permitted under any circumstances. Chemicals and solvents cause failure of surface protection, including powder coat, plastic components, aluminium cladding, windows, hatches and sealant adhesives, and that damage is not covered.
UV and weather. Under Australian UV and weather conditions, fading and chalking of materials will occur over time if a professionally applied protective coating is not used. That damage is not covered. Ask your dealer about coating options.
Pressure washers can direct spray under trim and damage bodywork, decals and seals. Do not use high-pressure washers directly on sealants or ventilation.
Component and appliance warranties
Components and appliances not manufactured by JB Caravans Pty Ltd are covered by the individual manufacturer's warranty and are excluded from this warranty. Removal and re-installation costs for appliance warranty repairs are the purchaser's responsibility. Contact the relevant manufacturer or supplier directly for claims on these items; you can also lodge the problem with us and we will identify which warranty applies.
The table lists the components fitted to Network RV caravans and their suppliers' warranty periods. Periods within product ranges may vary; confirm with your dealer.

Terrain policy
Network RV builds two ranges for two kinds of terrain, and each is rated for a different level of use:
Touring Terrain
Rated for: sealed roads, highways and caravan parks, and short, well-formed unsealed access roads taken at low speed.
Not rated for: corrugated roads, station tracks, rutted tracks or four-wheel-drive tracks. Damage from use on these is not covered.
Terrain Tuff
Rated for: sealed roads, formed gravel, corrugated roads and station tracks, at a speed and tyre pressure suited to the surface.
Not rated for: four-wheel-drive-only tracks unsuited to a trailer, hard impacts or heavy landings. Damage from use on these is not covered.
Both ranges are built in accordance with the Australian Design Rules, including gas and electrical venting. Venting requirements and construction constraints limit the effectiveness of any caravan against dust and water penetration. Under no circumstances should a Network RV caravan be exposed to water at or above body floor level. As owner, it is your responsibility to ensure adequate ventilation is maintained at all times. When travelling on unsealed roads, extra care is required; travel at a safe speed for the road and weather conditions.
Recommended tyre pressures on unsealed surfaces
Corrugated or rough roads: 20 to 25 psi
Sand: 15 to 20 psi
Additional exclusions on unsealed roads
Impact or stone damage to body, chassis or running gear.
Soiling or damage to fabric items and internal fittings from dirt, dust or airborne substances.
Water damage due to creek crossings.
Damage caused by use on tracks rated above the range's specification.
Damage from dislodgement of appliances or fittings due to hard impact or heavy landings on severely rutted roads.
Damage caused by high-pressure washers on sealants or ventilation, or by solvents or chemicals used to wash the caravan.
What is not covered: full exclusions
This warranty does not apply where the caravan has been:
Repaired, altered or modified by someone other than JB Caravans Pty Ltd or an authorised repair agent.
Used for a purpose other than that for which it was designed; subject to misuse, neglect or overloading.
Involved in an accident or any cause beyond the control of JB Caravans Pty Ltd.
Used for commercial or hire purposes.
Towed by a vehicle other than a standard passenger vehicle or standard four-wheel drive; towed with incorrect weight distribution or incorrect towing equipment.
Subject to premature wear and tear when used for permanent living.
The warranty also does not apply to:
Damage or defects from accident, theft, or abnormal environmental conditions, including stone strike, condensation from storage, windstorm, lightning, hail, temperature, humidity, pressure or stress.
Water ingress caused by submersion; infestation by animals, rodents or insects; rust or corrosion.
Damage from unauthorised parts or accessories; from failure to properly use, service or maintain the caravan in accordance with the handbook; from failure to follow the pre-travel checklist or the caravan care procedures.
Defects from excessive speed, hard impact, or use in unsuitable off-road conditions.
Consequential damage from continued use or towing after a defect has, or should have, become apparent.
Rectification or modification required by changes in local, state or federal legislation after manufacture.
Tears, punctures, shrinkage, softening or fading of fabric items, canvas, canopies, windows, screens, cushions, mattresses, upholstery, curtains, or plywood finishes caused by condensation.
Deterioration of sealants over time. Silicone is covered for 1 year from handover only, subject to the sealant extension in section 01.
Damage to surfaces and seals caused by after-treatments (coatings, protectants, sealants); normal wear and tear; UV deterioration; fading or chalking where a protective coating has not been applied; accidental damage.
Purchaser's cost obligations
Even where a claim is authorised, the purchaser bears the cost of: all transport to and from the factory or the authorised dealership; insurance of the caravan in transit; maintenance service fees and consumables; removal and refitting of appliances to enable warranty repairs; and any towing fees or repairer travelling time. Where you have a right to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law, you may be entitled to recover the reasonable costs of returning the caravan.
JB Caravans Pty Ltd and the selling dealer are not liable for disrupted travel plans, accommodation or other associated costs while repairs are carried out. It is the purchaser's responsibility to deliver the caravan to an authorised repairer.
How to make a warranty claim
Notify us immediately when a fault becomes apparent. Ongoing or continued damage after a fault should have been apparent is not covered.
Contact us through the online claim form, your Network RV dealer, or by phone. Do not engage a repairer before receiving authorisation.
Provide proof of purchase, full details of the alleged defect, and supporting documentation including service records and photographs.
Make the caravan available for inspection at the nominated repair agent or dealership yard.
If inspection reveals no defect, the purchaser must pay the usual inspection and testing costs of JB Caravans Pty Ltd or the dealer.
If the claim is approved, the Claims Department authorises the repair and issues an authorisation number to the approved repairer.
Any claim for repairs carried out without prior written authorisation will be denied. JB Caravans Pty Ltd will not reimburse the cost of repairs performed by non-authorised companies without prior written consent. The selling dealer may, at its discretion, advise the Claims Department to consider your request to repair or replace covered parts. Any claim must be made during the warranty term.
Liability, replacement parts and disputes
The repair or replacement of the caravan or the defective part is the limit of JB Caravans Pty Ltd's liability under this warranty, except for any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which are not limited by this clause. JB Caravans Pty Ltd makes no express warranties or representations other than those set out in this document.
Replacement parts are not required to be identical to the original. They may be of similar type and are determined by the manufacturer, the repairer and availability.
Dispute resolution
Should a dispute arise concerning the warranty or a claim, you may refer the matter to our internal Disputes Panel for determination. You will receive a written response within 15 working days of receipt of your correspondence. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may contact Consumer Affairs Victoria (1300 558 181) or the consumer protection agency in your state or territory, and where appropriate the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT). Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not affected. See the Complaints process for the full escalation path.
